Learning Resources

Meg’s background as a teacher and enthusiasm for history and story-telling has resulted in well-researched stories for children and youth. Each book has companion learning resources, available free of charge, for parents, teachers, and home-schoolers. They include the illustrations from each story (suitable for overhead projection); colouring sheets; vocabulary; famous quotes; etc.

In Verity, a teen novel, readers are immersed in European medieval life, including the medieval culture and vocabulary.

In The Adventures of Alexander Catt, a series of stories for middle-grade children, Alex shares his life’s adventures throughout various time periods, showcasing many famous people in the arts and sciences.

In Lexi Catt’s Meowmoirs—Tales of Heroic Scientists, a series of stories for middle-grade children, Lexi writes about the everyday lives and extraordinary accomplishments of some of the world’s greatest heroes in science and medicine.

Her stories for young readers feature British Columbia animals such as skunks, racoons, owls, bears, squirrels, crows, and sea gulls.

Just a quick note to let you know that the kids really enjoyed the book. It took approximately 45 minutes to read it out loud to the class (although I paused at times to discuss terms and ask questions to keep them engaged).

We had a great discussion about the ancient Olympics versus the Modern Olympics and lots of the kids wanted to share stories of people they knew who were somehow associated with the upcoming Olympics.

Thanks again for sharing your book with us.
