Lexi and Hippocrates Find Trouble at the Olympics launches in time for Sochi Games!

Wednesday, February 5, 2014 5:00 – 7:00 pm West Vancouver Memorial Library 1950 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, BC Join author Marian Keen, Olympian Krista Guloien, and 4Cats North Vancouver Arts Studios for an action-packed evening to celebrate the launch of Marian’s latest children’s book: Lexi & Hippocrates Find Trouble at the Olympics! Learn about the ancient and modern Olympics, enjoy a reading by the author, meet two-time Olympian and 2012 Silver Medalist Krista Guloien, and let the kids craft their own Sochi Olympic Winter Games Mascot with 4Cats North Vancouver Arts Studios. Prizes for the kids, and refreshments for all. Admission is free, but pre-registration is required to a maximum of 100. In Lexi and Hippocrates Find Trouble at the Olympics, Lexi Catt lives in Ancient Greece, where he meets Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine. With companions Theo and his hound dog Cerberus, Lexi and Hippocrates travel to Olympia for the ancient Olympic Games. Together, Lexi and Hippocrates uncover treachery and help preserve the Olympic ideal of fair play. In the series Lexi Catt’s Meowmoirs—Tales of Heroic Scientists, the talented feline shares his adventures with heroes throughout history who have made discoveries in the fields of science and medicine. Marian Keen, has been writing in a variety of genres since the 1980s, with a special interest in historical fiction for children and youth.
